Bigger & Bretter begins its life as a traditional Biere de Garde or “beer for keeping”. This style originates from the French region of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and was originally brewed in farmhouses during the cooler months like their more well-known Belgian sister-brews: Saisons. We gave Bigger & Bretter an extra layer of depth and complexity by bottle conditioning with the wild yeast Brettanomyces. This elegant copper-colored brew is sure to delight Belgian ale lovers, and will continue to evolve in the bottle for years to come!

750ml corked and caged bottle. Pours an unclear orange with yeast particles in suspension and a medium, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, Brett, Belgian yeast, cherry bubble gum, cinnamon, orange, peach, apricot and mango. Sweet flavour of bready caramel malt, Belgian yeast, light Brett, honey, orange, apricot, pineapple, mango, cinnamon and black pepper with a dry, bitter grass finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Bretter than most for sure, an excellent BDG. Nice complexity and easy drinking for the ABV.

750 ml corked and crowned bottle. Hazy orange copper color. Small creamy beige head. Sweet fruity malt nose has a subtle element of earthy funk. Upfront flavor has a toasted malt and yeasty character. Slightly sweet citrus notes with hints of honey and bubblegum. Spicy, dry, earthy notes in finish. The Brettanomyces prescence is subtle yet effective.
