Copper colored, small non lasting off white head. Aroma is of malt, some toffee, plenty of cherry and barrel vanilla aroma. Taste is medium sweet malt, toffee, again strong cherries, vanilla and barrel flavor, fruity, tannnins, medium- bitterness, sweetish finish, some alcohol and warming finish but nothing overpowering. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, oily. Quite pleasant.

12oz bottle. First off, this is only 7.3%, not 10.7%. Cherry red-brown body. Really drinks a lot in an Old Fashioned vein. Probably a lot more enjoyable at 10.7%. Too sweet and artificial as it is. Not what Ihoped for.

Great Taste, 2017. Red color and clear. Alcohol in the aroma, and cherry pit giving a cinnamon flavor. Not sweet, which was a surprise. Dry and crisp. Alcohol is less prominent in the flavor and palate than it was on the aroma, and no particular brandy character.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head. The aroma was toasty caramel, fig, cherry and a moderate boozy presence. The flavor was boozy in a way that worked well with a bit of wood, caramel and mixed dark fruits. Long boozy fruity finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/25/2017. Pours slightly hazy reddish copper color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big lightly tart cherry, golden raisin, peach, plum, berry, apple, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, and bread dough; with lighter notes of nuttiness, toffee, vanilla, and oak/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malt, cherries, and brandy barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart cherry, golden raisin, peach, plum, berry, apple, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, and bread dough; with lighter notes of nuttiness, toffee, vanilla, and oak/toasted earthiness. Light herbal bitterness, oak spiciness, and fruit tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of cherry, golden raisin, peach, plum, berry, apple, red grape, caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, bread dough, nuttiness, toffee, vanilla, and oak/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt, cherries, and brandy barrel flavors; with a nice malt/tart/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with zero yeast notes present. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/tartness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, fairly crisp, and lightly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Minimal warming alcohol for 10.7%, with zero barrel booziness. Overall this is a delicious fruited imperial pale lager style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt, cherries, and brandy barrel flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink for the big ABV. Pretty much perfectly balanced between cherries, malts, and brandy barrel complexities across the board. A very enjoyable offering.

Tap industry public house, lots of taps. Big & black. Large & in-charge for a lager. Mind you, this is not a lager, it is an imperial stout fer sure. Nose is a perhaps ever so slight inference of cherry. Yes, impy stout from the start, to call this a lager is a big mistake, its imperial stout ale dude. Fuck off imperial stout. Forget an=bout lager or you’ll be rolled over. Big kick ass imperial stout my friends, if I have any. Try it with a piece of dried fruit and almond-infused dark chocolate or a generous chunk of Ader Käse Reserve cheese...are you kidding? If you like lager, get lost, if you like impy stout, stay a while.
