24th Anniversary sour cherry blonde ale brewed with tart Montmorency cherries. This celebratory slice of ale is a pleasantly tart, well balanced golden beauty with hints of lemon peel, graham cracker, and cherry pie.

Pours a hazy amber from a bottle, huge fizzy head despite a slow pour. Funky lemon aroma, a hint of tart cherry in the mouth but not terribly. Okay beer.

From a 22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Aroma of tart white grapes and cherries. Moderately tart, with just the right amount of cherry to flavor but not overwhelm.

Bomber from Bruisin’ Ales. Pours hazy, dirty gold with a foamy white head. For me the aroma is almost non-existent cherry and something reminding of sourdough bread. Med body - primarily because of carbonation. Flavor is very light cherry, and it is just a bit tart. A surprisingly clean flavor. Seems to have a zest note. Sour light ale. Certainly pleasant, but not exactly pleasing. Needs MORE FLAVOR. Having said that a bit of graham flour just came to my notice. Still, needs MORE FLAVOR. Not different ones, just enhanced intensity!

Mild oak nose. Cloudy amber, medium head. Tart lemon, pear, apricot. Medium body, easy carbonation. No distinct cherry presence, but a good sour anyway.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/13/2017. Pours hazy medium golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of sweet/lightly tart cherries, lemon, lime, green apple, pear, white grape, fruit skin, wheat, biscuit, bread dough, honey, hay, herbal, grass, light pepper, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big sweet/lightly tart cherries, lemon, lime, green apple, pear, white grape, fruit skin, wheat, biscuit, bread dough, honey, hay, herbal, grass, light pepper, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruit/lactic tartness and light bitter/spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart cherry, lemon, lime, green apple, pear, white grape, fruit skin, wheat, biscuit, bread dough, honey, hay, herbal, grass, light pepper, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light dryness from tart/spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, fairly acidic, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.2%. Overall this is a very good fruited kettle sour ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, cherries, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellow acidity/tartness. Adequate complexity for a kettle sour, with nice fruit presence and malt balance. A very enjoyable offering.

Draft Taproom (Charlottesville). Pours murky pinklish gold. Aroma is tart 0 nothing specific but you know it’ll be tart. Flavor is actually not quite as tart as the nose implies. Smooth, almost slightly sweet cherry... some bitterness, but not tart. Light wet dog and a slightly sugary finish.

Bomber, thanks brenn79. Aroma is wheaty, lemon, sweet doughy pastry with cinnamon. Pours hazy golden with a medium white head with good retention. Taste is lightly tart (2/10) and sweet with flavors matching the aroma. Cherry is only noticeable because I read the label...not sure if I would have pulled that out on my own. It’s very subtle. Nice and creamy, but also a tad watery and thin. Kind of along the lines of lightly tart beers like New Belgium’s Snapshot. Real sourheads might be disappointed, but those who like subtlety will appreciate it.

22oz bottle picked up at the brewery
Pours cloudy orange with a small off-white head, some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, mild @cherries and yogurt. Flavor of cherries, apples with a dry, tart finish
Not much of a sour but tasty

tap iph. cloudy light brownish. typical mild beer nose. first impression is very good cutting co2. there is some odd spice in there distracting from the friendly tartness. you’d never know this is more than 6%. quite enjoyable overall. a fun civilized example of a drinkable tart beer. not quite as sour as expected but still pretty good.
