Neutral aroma. Its just another ubiquitous IPA in a bottle, why do they have to make so many names for the same taste? A brazillion name but one taste; bitter and rude. Pale ale with a big foamy head, had slightly below room temp. And, I'm not dissappointed, its just another one of those bitter ass beers. What up anyway with the blood orange craze? Typically just adds another unwelcomed advance of green citrus rind bitter bite. Finish is a big dull squished together ball of bitter dull hop punch in the skrinched face. There you have it. Put all these BS IPAs into the same category and then condense the names into a few hundred. If you like IPA, ignore my numbers and put this OS IPA into yer bouquet booket get list.

Hazy orange coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of bitter citrus, grapefruit, a touch of pine and a touch of sweetness. Medium-bodied; Strong rich hop and orange flavours at first with a big dose of sweetness from curacao and caster sugar along with a big hit of bitterness from the hops and citrus. Aftertaste shows a nice subdued sweetness coupled with the bitter hop and orange flavour along with a good balance of malt. Overall, a nice beer with a bitter and flavourful orange element along with the hops that shows well. That said, the Mango IPA (sampled horizontally with this one) is a better beer and shows nicely throughout here, and the blood orange is good, but not as nice as the Mango! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michgan on 25-July-2015 for US$2,19 sampled in my hotel room here in New York, New York on 21-January-2017.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/2/2016. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of blood orange, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical/pine hops, blood orange, and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big blood orange, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of blood orange, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, lemon/orange rind, pine, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops, blood orange, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop/fruit astringency after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, sticky/resinous, and fairly creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a very nice fruit IPA. Al laround nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical/pine hops, blood orange, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Not overdone on the fruit; with balanced hops and good vibrancy. A very enjoyable offering.
