Bottle from Albertsons. Pours out a clear golden with medium frothy head. Musty, white bread aroma, almost lager-ish. Taste is completely different, hop variety brings apples, cider, vanilla, and a bit of bitter sting at the end. Overall clean finish. Tasty stuff

Big ole 24oz bottle pours with a clear deep gold body that has a thin copper hue and supports a full light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy hops that have a peppery edge to them as well as floral hops, earthy kind of lime like hops and then a sense of bubble gum. The taste begins fairly soft with spicy, earthy hops and light sweet citrus and then quickly picking up floral and bubble gum like notes. The hops are faintly bitter and modest in strength and have a delicate sense to them. Pretty nice as it ends with a lingering mild bitterness that has a thin resiny edge.

24 ounce bottle. Amber orange color. Small firm rocky beige head with nice clinging lace. Fragrant peppery hop nose. Flavor is fresh bitter pepper, somewhat dank and tart. Nice Toasted malt backbone compliments the earthy hops. Reminiscent of habanero peppers without the heat. Dry and bitter notes with a delicate citrus peel character.

24 oz bottle. Aroma is skunk bud, latex, wet river rock, citrus powder drink. Pours hazy orange with a thick pillowy bone-white head that leaves curtains of lace after it recedes. Taste is highly bitter with some candy sweetness alongside; grainy, citrusy, herbal flavors. Interesting and pretty good.

Very well balanced entry. A low-key hops strain. But it makes for a super well balanced pale ale. Light bittersweet finish. Pours golden with good head and lacing. Citrus and almost a hint of meet. Tap at Churchkey.

A light gold colour, good head of foam and lacing.

An interesting aroma of bitter hops of the unusual kind. Fruity but not citrus, nice note of tea.

Same goes for the taste. A very pleasant bitterness that’s outside of the box, at least for me and the flavours of tea do impress me. It is in fact the thing that I find most prevalent in the finish.

Very good mouthfeel and an easy drinker for me, this Howler won’t last long. ($12.50)
