Tap at R+B. Unfiltered orange-tan. Kind of doughy for the style, almost has lager tones, which are more enjoyable than typical high temp tones to me. Creamy, faint yeast notes.

500 ml purchased at 7-11 Kittery, ME. Dirty golden with thin lasting head. Aroma is herbal with weak fruity yeast. Bread malts.
Mouthfeel has a good amount of carbonation and feels big for a brew under 6%. Dry texture after the swallow. The base has bready malt and grain with yeast having an herbal character. Mildly bitter. Yeah it’s decent but I would let bottles sit around too long, feels like this is would go south real quick. Right now I enjoyed it ok.

Sampled from the bottle at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a clear gold with a touch orange and a bubbly white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy grain, Belgian yeast and a hint of earthy light fruit. Flavor is a bit mild with light grain, light bread and a bit of Belgian yeast.

Half liter bottle from State Line, 4/29/15. Clear golden, medium sized fizzy white head, fair retention. Aroma of pale malt, citrus, hay. The taste is nuts, bread, spice, citrus, lime, tropical fruit. Medium bodied, lingering spice.

500mL bottle poured into a Courage tulip-snifter. I didn’t get a head for this beer and it poured a thick orange color, low clarity. Aroma is full of sweet orange marmalade fruit yeastiness. Light dough ones as well. Flavor is It’s sweeter, less orange and a bit more dough. Thick muddy body with some tingly carbonation trying to cut through it. Not really sure how this is a saison. It’s to fruity but thankfully not banana. A dud from a place I usually enjoy.

500 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of pear, apple, white grape, apricot, light banana, pepper, clove, honey, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of pear, apple, white grape, apricot, light banana, pepper, clove, honey, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of pear, apple, white grape, apricot, light banana, pepper, clove, honey, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good balance, robustness, and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice saison. All around good balance, robustness, and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. It wasn’t as complex as I hoped for, but still fit the style very well. A nicely enjoyable offering.
