Bottle. Taste is a bit lacking, tastes just like another pale yellow lager to me. I can see why they export it - get it the hell out of germany.

After two helles last night switching it up with dortmunders this evening. Fine golden pour foamy white head. Nose is faint yeast and grass. Tastes of yeast, grass, minerals, light tonic water. Crisp palate touch watery but refreshing

330 ml bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy pale straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of clean pale malt, earthy hops, and light yeast ester flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and clean finish that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Munich Helles lager. All around good balance and robustness of clean pale malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Clear, light gold with a short white head. Honey, lemon scent. Lightly fruity taste.....a little grain. Sweet....a little corn malt. Not bad..... A nice lightness and drinkability that American Pale Lagers (you know, the big ones) should aspire to.

I had never tried this one so I grabbed it out of curiosity. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very pale straw color with a large white head that quickly faded. The aroma was sweet, sugary and spicy with an element that could only be described as artificial grape scent. The flavor was sweet, had a hint of malt and again was dominated by an artificial grape flavor. This beer really tasted more like a grape soda. Very bizarre.

Pours with a light grassy, lemony aroma. Cloudy yellow-orange body with abundant "floaties" and a thin off-white head. Flavor is lemony and bready/toasty with spicy phenols that I can’t quite place. Finishes with a somewhat off-putting dirty yeast flavor. Contrary to some reviews here my bottle is not at all flavorless. All in all a mixed bag.

I don't know what they call this in Germany, so it's tough to know precisely what I was drinking, but I wasn't impressed. Light gold colour, light palate, some malt accent (but not much), very faint hint of pears. This is one of Munich's best breweries?
