Pour this White IPA in a tall glass to showcase its hazy, golden color and dense, creamy head. Rapunzel’s up-front blast of aromatic hops ushers your palate into a balance of crisp, sweet, malt character and lush, juicy hop flavors of pineapple, citrus, and lemongrass. The tart wheat character and effervescent carbonation accent Rapunzel’s light, elegant body while the waves of hop flavor ensure you that you’re drinking a well-crafted brew.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy yellow gold color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy with orange, lemon band a touch if grapefruit. The flavor was bitter and tart with lemon, chalk and perfume. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

Clear golden coloured body with a small amount of orange tint and a small tan head, about a centimetre tall. Aroma of citrus, hay, grass, wheat, perfume and a good deal of tropical fruit sweetness. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and floral hoppiness up front with a mellow malt note and a big dose of tropical fruits and nice freshness of coriander seed. Aftertaste shows a subdued freshness along with a good grassy and herbal finish without much body or pungency. Overall, a nice beer without a pungent bitterness or malty flavour, but a freshness along with some good hop bitterness. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Meijer in Dearborn, Michigan on 11-December-2016 for US$1,79 sampled at home in Washington on 31-January-2017.

bottle - Hazy gold pour, smells of wheat malt and mild citrus... it tastes moderately bitter with a touch of citrus, some yeast, and wheat. It’s alright.

Bottle: Hazy amber with a puffy, off-white head. Aroma is slightly sour, grapefruit-peel, lemon. Taste is almost lactic...floral, grapefruit-peel, citrus and wheat malt. Not bad...but a little washed out in parts.

Pour is a dark brownish with a large white head. Aroma is a bit of sweet malt with some honeydew fruit from the hops. Flavor is a bit more watered down. A slight hint of hops followed by an odd tart and sourness. I don’t know if that was supposed to be there but it was weird. Finish is more of the melon left on the tongue. This was a very odd beer.

Smells like dull ipa. Looks like a darker clear hefe. On the tongue, very uncivilized from the start. Taste is big dull bitter hop thing. A little too much for this lager lovers taste buds. Just call this ipa will ya, possibly even double ipa. Forget about white, that is a misnomer. This is simply an imperial IPA, that is terribly syrupy & on style. Says 5.8% but this comes across more like 7%. Not impressed. Forgettabout it.
