330 ml bottle at home. Black color with beige head. Malty aroma, roasted, cocoa, chocolate, smoked - tar notes, licorice, coffee, vanilla, bourbon alcohol and wood. no chili or berries. Sweet and moderate bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

0,33l wax top bottle at home courtesy of Sander, big thanks. BB 25.01.2020. black color, small coffee colored head. smells of bourbon, wood, coconut, light vanilla, light dried fruits, bitter chocolate, light marzipan. very lovely and subtle smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of bourbon, coconut, light vanilla, dried fruits, marzipan, lightly boozy. finishes lightly sweet with notes of coconut, bourbon and light vanilla. Lovely, not very stout-ish. Tastewise this reminds me more of an American Strong Ale than an Imp Stout. Very bourbon forward. Overall another lovely Põhjala beer.

Sampled from tap at BPBW 2018. Pitch black with a beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of praline, mocca, vanilla and some whisky. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty taste of praline, mocca, whiskey and some vanilla, followed by a long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy, a bit boozy, warming finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Lovely!
