Bottle. Amber body with a fizzy, off-white head, rapidly diminishing. Sharp aroma of pumpkin spices — all spice, cinnamon, clove. Notes of wood and toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, sticky texture, moderate carbonation. Lots of alcohol in the taste along with mounds of pumpkin pie spices that could, indeed, kill a unicorn.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home prior to getting some Greek food. Appearance is a very cloudy dark brownish orange with a robust slightly tan head. Aroma is rich in pumpkin and spice, but mostly pumpkin. Taste I'm not really a fan of, it's like there's something wrong with this one. Soapy like flavor mixed with pumpkin, doesn't taste especially good, more like a medicine.

bottle - Pours hazy orange with a big light tan head and ample lacing. It has an interesting fruity aroma. Because I know it’s a pumpkin beer, that’s what I was expecting, but perhaps because of how it combines with the hop aromas it almost smelled like berries to me. There’s also some spice. The flavor is moderately bitter with pumpkin and spice in the background. Good beer.

Bottle. Artificial cinnamon, caramel-pumpkin malt, ginger aroma. Hazy amber with a large ivory head. Vegetal caramel malt, cinnamon, clove, and herbal hops flavor. Medium body, moderate carbonation. The spice and hops are a little harsh, and at odds with each other.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, 2013 bottling. Pours moderately cloudy orange copper color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, gingerbread, brown sugar, caramel, pear, toast, and herbal earthiness. Ok aromas with solid complexity and balance of malt, pumpkin, and spice notes; with decent strength. Taste of pumpkin, sourdough bread, ginger, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, brown sugar, caramel, toast, floral, and herbal earthiness. Light earthy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, sourdough bread, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, brown sugar, caramel, toast, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a while. Decent flavor balance and complexity of malt, pumpkin, and spice notes; with a solid malt/spice balance and minimal cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and lightly chalky mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a decent pumpkin ale. Flavor profile is weird at first; but smooths out a bit after the first sip. A bit of flavor astringency as well, but I had no problem finishing the glass.

Bottle thanks to Another6Pack. Thanks, Trent!

A hazy red looking brew, the pour brought about an inch of foam and has lots of lacing.

The nose is as good as any pumpkin beer I’ve tried. Pumpkin with the spices...nutmeg and cinnamon up front with a touch of alcohol.

The taste doesn’t live up to the smell but that’s pretty typical for a PA. Cinnamon is tops to my palate, nutmeg follows but the whole pumpkin thingy doesn’t quite mesh out. Some alcohol is in the taste as well. I also get more than hints of black cherry that’s more of a bitterish flavour than a sour one.

Nice mouthfeel, it’s kind of a slow drinker for me. Interesting brew that doesn’t quite hit the mark.

Bottle. Cloudy, fiery orange-brown body, thin tight clumping cream head. Vegetal nose with lots of pumpkin and toasty sweetness. Complex body, pulpy, spicy, and bitter with light candied sweetness, definitely not a run-of-the-mill "pumpkin spice" beer.

On tap at Bangers and Lace. Pours a clear amber with an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good smooth spice note with a light pumpkin note and a hint of sweet grains. Flavor starts a good amount of earthy spice with a bit of pumpkin and sweet grains.
