This German-style Pilsener is a super-premium lager with a brilliant gold color and the dry finish and aroma of hops. A time-honored German style pilsener, this definitive golden lager is made following the traditional German purity law: using only malted barley, water, German hops and German lager yeast. A great beer with a floral aroma, a hint of spices & a dry finish. ABV 5.25% IBU 26. Pairs well with lighter foods: chicken, salads, salmon & bratwurst

From old tasting notes. Bright yellow gold color. Assertive sweet malt aroma with floral hop notes. Sweetish light malt flavor upfront. Brief dry hop finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grass and grains with a bit of hay underlying. Flavor has more a sweet biscuit start that mellows in to a bread and grain finish.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 9/4/2012. Pours fairly crystal clear golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings down the glass; with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of pear, apple, grape, floral, grass, cracker, bread, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt and yeast esters with a fair amount of hops; and solid strength. Taste of cracker, bread, floral, pear, apple, pepper, grass, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of cracker, bread, light fruits, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a bit. Good balance of malt and hop flavors; with light ester fruitiness and a slight astringent tang on the finish, but it isn’t too bad. Medium carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with no warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a pretty solid pilsener style. Good balance of malt and hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. An enjoyable offering.

From a twist off bottle. Slight freindly lemon aroma. Very litttle haze in a lager looking thing. Taste is fairly mild and acceptable. Decent amount of co2. Has a touch of the slaggy thing going on. Overall decent beer experience. Better than expected. no sharp edges in this pilsner.

This is an ok pils. Dry and lightly hopped, but the hops are there for sure. Lager yeast is in the aroma. Low carbonation for the style, but it has the unmistakable pils flavor lacking in the standard yellow lagers.

bottle - Pours clear yellow-gold with a small white head and a bready malt aroma. It’s light bodied and bubbly with a grainy malt flavor and mild, bland hops. The finish is grainy and slightly bitter. Not very good at all.

Hazy gold with a small white head; grainy aroma with a light citrus note. Flavor has hoppy sting in the taste and finish.
