Draft at Golden Crust in PA. A bit of tea caught up in a sour and fruit beer. Tartness persists throughout flavor and aftertaste. Lemony finish. A bit simple but works. 737315

Thx! Draft glass @ Gollem: Craft Beer Madness #2. Orange golden with little head. Nose is sour lemon, stone fruit, low vomit, puckering, acidic,… Taste is bit too glue, puckering acidic, faint paint, glue, nice but bit too much USA sour excesses,…

Apricot sour by this Californian brewing company, thanks 77ships for sharing at Gollem, Antwerp. Medium thick, lightly lacing, snow white, opening head, misty orangey peach blonde robe. Aroma of sour grapes more than apricots, lots of unripe nectarine, raspberry vinegar, unsugared yoghurt, lemon flesh, dry peach kernels, rainwater. Tart onset with a sharpish, unripe stonefruit- and even bit lemon-like fruit acidity, lots of nectarine and sour grape flavours which I suppose represent the apricot, softish carb, smooth, doughy and bit biscuity malt ‘soil’ dried by the sourness, which even becomes slightly vinegary in the end with a somewhat burning effect; light earthy touch in the end. Your typical modern American sour ale and far from the worst in its kind, though perhaps just a tad too sour for its own good, which blocks the tenderness of the apricots a bit.

On tap at Council, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out tart apricots, with light oak and seltzery notes. Flavour is quite acidic, with lots of tart apricots upfront, with subdued oak and wild yeast. Too acidic but it's still fun, just difficult to drink in more than tiny quantities. Decent.
