18/VIII/21 - on tap @ Arendsnest (Amsterdam), BB: n/a (2021-860) Thanks to the misses for going on a beer tour with me!

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of fake vanilla, tic-tac mints, some caramel, bit of chocolate. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: weird soft roast, something dirty, bit fishy, unpleasant bitterness. Aftertaste: weird, fake vanilla flavour, rather unpleasant, weird, bit sourish, something undefinable yet very disturbing and unpleasant.

It has a rich chocolatey malty presence, which is almost balanced by the abv, but rather than balance it’s almost like two offsetting flavours trying to bring balance to the beer. It’s okay, nothing overtly off, but below avg for an 11% stout. Arendsnest ams

Very dark brown with wispy head. Aroma has some vanilla and cream. Flavour seems to have numbing note of clove. Whatever it is it's overpowering.
