Bottle 25 cl. Pours an opaque black with a lacing, beige head. Nose has subtle ink, tar and iodine. Medium body only, strangely tart and then shitloads of iodine from the peated barrel. I don't understand: why use pineapple in a beer and then drown it in tonnes of brutal peat? The pineapple may be behind the acidity, but otherwise it's nowhere. Is this a bad beer that has been hidden in a tar barrel? 161017

Bottle at brewDog Nottingham. Black colour with a beige head. Aroma banana, pineapple wood and light smoke. Taste fruity sour. Full oily body.

250 ml flaska från Kihoskh, Kph. Svart med krämigt, om än glest, brunbeiget skum som lämnar en krona och rester längs kanterna. Stor, kärv doft med massor av whisky, chark, ekfat, rökt och salt skinka, tjärpastill, massor av kaffe, lakrits, bröstkaramell. Längre bak sötma från toffee och ananas. Lite lättare kropp än väntat, men funkar bra. Låg kolsyra. Massor av tanniner från fatlagring. Ananasen mer framträdande i smaken med sötma, kola och ananasjuice. Mycket fat i smaken tillsammans med kärva toner av cognac, chark, rök, whisky och bränd malt. Ananasen tillsammans med tanninerna skapar en viss syrlighet. En riktigt udda skapelse, kan förstå om man inte går igång på det här. Ruskigt svår att ringa in och väldigt spretiga smaker, men tycker ändå den är kul! Jag köper det.

250ml bottle from the Brewdog Online Shop. Pours thick black with a thin tan head. Aromas of whiskey, coffee, faint pineapple, tobacco. Taste of liquorice, smoke, leather, wood, coffee, fruit is faint, but there. Rich finish. Decent.

Bottle@Jens place - Black pour with tan head. Sweet roasted malty with notes of chocolate and caramel, some big cognac and whisky soaked wooden accents, big and warming boozy, just getting some light pineapple accents in the close.
