This long time favorite makes a long-awaited return to the Bourbon County Stout roster. Utilizing whole grade A vanilla beans from Madagascar, Vanilla delivers on all the quintessential things fans love about this variant: aromatic vanilla, marshmallow, toffee, oak, and floral notes highlighting the creamy mouthfeel and enhancing the chocolate flavors that are ingrained in Bourbon County Stout.

Bottle, Sergey's hunt; vintage 2018
Black colour. It smells like a chocolate vanilla cake. The flavour is dominated by dark chocolate and some roast, with some marshmallow, and very evident alcohol; traces of sweeet liquorice in the finish..

Bottle (9/4/18) pour in bottle share with AirForceHops--thanks for the opportunity, Chris! Appearance is opaque, extremely dark brown--virtually black with no sparkle, excellent viscosity, ephemeral cap of beige head with no lacing. Aroma is incredibly strong--can smell it from two feet away while outside!--vanilla, roasted malt, bourbon and hints of chocolate. Taste is toffee, vanilla, chocolate, bourbon all coming at you rapid fire serially but seamlessly, then mingles nicely through the rest of the sip and ends with a nice woody--almost wood fired quality. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation, really nice alcohol warmth deep in the esophagus, hint of alcohol flavor, and finish as taste. Overall, really nicely balanced, nice strength and complexity. Strong all around.

Bottle/Fest. A- Vanilla, fudge. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Vanilla, fudge, Swiss Cake Rolls, bourbon. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Exactly what I would expect. Vanilla and rich fudge with a blend of bourbon. If you look really deep, you can find some oak, toffee, caramel, and marshmallow creme. Would love to have some bottles to hold on to. The only thing that keeps this from being at the very very top is that I feel like I could take regular BCBS and add some real mexican vanilla drops to it and get the same thing. Nonetheless, very tasty.

Spectacular, indulgent and warm and jam-packed with vanilla goodness, sweet without being cloy or syrupy. Starts with a welcoming mix of dark chocolate, vanilla, and caramel—like a liquid Milky Way Midnight—yet the oak, coffee cherry, and bourbon add grown-up depth to the candy bar elements, leading to a whiskey-infused fade. Shocking in its easygoing texture, what with the ABV coming in a hair under 15%. Delicious.

Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a glass. Black with small light brown. Aroma is bourbon, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon. At $30 the price of admission is steep.

Smells boozy, vanilla, chocolate. Taste like it's 11%, but actually 15%. This is fantastic.

Taste is sweet, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, roast, fudge, roasted coconut, vanilla, light licorice, oaky notes, dry finish. Damn, this is good!

OK, this one does not disappoint. Vanilla is used extremely well, and works greatly with the base. Pretty sweet, rich and thick. Not as sharp as the regular, and not as messy as the other variants. Lots of vanilla but not metallic. Loads of bourbon.
