clear plastic bottle 1500ml. -from Ukrainian shop in Zagreb. Blackish coloured, small pale beige head, ry and whiff of Mediterranean spices in the nose. Same in the taste with also light caramel presence. Some weak honey in the finish.

Can 50 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with a warm, orange hue and a creamy, dense and lacing cappuchinoish head. Aroma of dusty rye bread. Light body, sweet bread and raisins with a slight tartness blending in with a faint sweetness. A fun pop. 070525

Can from Oki Dokie, Aberdeen. It pours like cola... Deep brown with a small fizzy white head. The aroma is quite a fruity kvass, berries, tangy, cola, Dr pepper, brown bread and malt loaf. The taste is similar, super fruity, tangy, dark berries, bramble, almost jammy, cherry cola, slightly toasty and vague hint of malt loaf. Light body and average, prickly carbonation. A very fruit forward kvass, which works well. Very nice example of the style.

Запах весьма сладкой карамелью, хотя хлебушек черный все же пробивается порой. Цвет темнее обычного для кваса, пены почти нету. Вкус все же в стиле Очаковского, много сладости и немного ржаного хлеба, что радует. Много сахара, трудно утолить жажду. Но на раз можно.

500ml can. Clear, almost black colour with weka ruby shimmer and average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark sulphureous to beige head. Sweet-ish, minimally doughy and soapy aroma, a touch of treacle. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally bready, rye malty, notes of pumpernickel and treacle. Oily texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Quite sweet, minimally unpleasant aspects in the aroma - OK.

1,5 liter PET bottle, as Kwas Taras Dark Kwas (Rye and barley malt), from an immigrants' store in Jørpeland. Cola colour, nearly black. Small tan head. Aroma of dark rye bread. Flavour of rye bread, sugar and some caramel.
