Poured from a 2018 Brewer's Intent 22 oz bottle. Aroma is cinnamon forward with light fruity notes of raisin, dark cherry, date and prune. Moderate toasted bread notes with lighter nutty and chocolate notes. A bit of alcohol spice and bourbon. Light molasses and faint maple. Pours dark brown, almost black with a medium sized, thick, somewhat creamy, mocha head that recedes slowly but steadily to a small film that lingers on the edges. Light lacing and fairly long legs. Flavor is moderately sweet upfront with some lingering sweetness. Moderately strong malt notes of toasted bread, chocolate and nuts with light caramel and toffee. Light bourbon and faint oak notes with light alcohol spice. Light raisin, prune and date notes. Moderately strong to strong bitterness with a medium light cinnamon note. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent beer. The cinnamon is a bit strong in the aroma and adds too much bitterness, but that's my only real complaint. I guess sit could use more maple syrup too.
