Nut Brown Ale
With a furtive glance and an eyebrow wiggle, Squirrel squiggles from his trunk, springing limb to limb with nutty agility. Sweet notes of toffee and chocolate fuel this Nut Brown Ale — manic maltiness safe and spry in the floral hop forest.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a nut brown color with bright orange highlights and a large foamy beige head that lingered and left minimal lacing. The aroma was toffee, nut, wood and bread crust. The flavor was thin and bitter with wood, nut, bread crust and some astringency. Long finish. Thin body.

Shaker pint draft at the Marriott in Mason, Ohio. The pour is a dark brown with a well formed ½ inch tan head. The aroma is nut, toasted malt, and caramel sweet. The taste is clean and fresh toasted, nut and caramel sweet malt. The palate is medium bodied, fine active carbonation and a clean, slightly sweet finish. Very much a classic nut brown ale, hit the style.

Can: Cola-brown with a large beige head. Mild, nutty/caramel aroma. Taste is soft, lightly bitter earthy/nutty caramel malt. Light roastiness........a decent amount of malt for the lightness. Enjoyable.

A fairly standard brown ale from pour to finish. Light roasted notes, chocolate, malt sweetness. Medium body with a mildly dry finish. Decent brew.

Listed as squirrel nut on the beer menu at bowsers, so I'm not sure of this is a new beer or not since there are other squirrels in their line up. Sweet spicy candy nose. Looks like darker iced tea. Taste is candy like as well. Spice tried to be friendly but goes too far. Just keeps coming around like weird candy all thru the session. Not impressed.

Sample at Knotty Pine. This beer pours brown with a medium khaki head that recedes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt and caramel. Light body with flavors of roasted malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a caramel malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
