As vibrant in color as fall's liveliest foliage, this deep red beer's hints of caramel and vanilla are rounded out by a smooth, rich maple character. Warming enough for a chilly fall day, its distinct notes of maple dance against a slightly sweet malt background and make this complex beer the perfect bridge into cooler weather.

Old bottle? Machinations! Who knows, can't figger out the date. Big dull hops impressions. Clear iced tea color. Fancy freckle. Go and heckle. Decent co2 for such a brew. Mouth coating at times with a slight processed metallic feel. Even has hints of rye in there, but mostly my imagination.

12oz bottle. Ruby brown body. Thin beige head. Medium bodied. Sweet, malt centered, the Chinook are faint. A pretty drinkable, sort of balanced amber, with the glazed over sweetness of maple syrup. Not bad, but not that good either.

From a sampler pack: pours clear darkish amber with a white head. Aroma is light maple and malts. Taste is a sweet pretty straightforward amber. Not bad.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Hannaford. Appearance is gorgeous reddish amber with tons of sparkle, finger-width beige creamy head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is fruit, bread, light candied sugar. Taste is sweet malts, light fruit. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with creamy texture, soft carbonation and sweet finish. Overall, the appearance is the clear standout with a nice palate and run of the mill sweet maltiness.

Bottle: Clear, deep copper-red with a quickly vanishing head. Cola, caramel, maple syrup aroma. Taste is sweet caramel malt, maple. Flavour is good, but the drawbacks are: Minimal hops...just a light pepperiness....and my bottle seemed pretty flat.... Still, mild and easy drinking....just expected more.
