22oz bottle pours a murky black with some creamy, off white head. Nose has a lot of chili pepper, earthy, sweet, hints of lurking heat, raisin, mild malt. Flavor has more molasses and thus balance, black pepper, malt, raisin, some licorice. Full bodied, peppery finish.

Lots of chocolate malt in this one and coffee, mocha aroma. Black pours with good head and lacing. Some caramel. Medium bitter finish. Bottle.

22oz bottle. Poured a very dark cola color with a small tan head. Aroma is roast, some green pepper skins, light chocolate. Flavor is light spicy mole notes. Light pepper, chocolate.

From a bottle at the DC Ratebeer event Dec. 6, 2014. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of chili peppers. Flavors of coffee, chocolate and anaheim chilis. Slight bitter roast finish.

22oz bomber. Pitch black body. Fading beige head. Chocolate heat tinged aroma. Nails it. Mild spicy heat, but grounded in smooth malt. Well done.

Black with a quick, dark brown head. Cocoa/chocolate malt aroma. Taste is moderately sweet chocolate, slight chile spice. Not too much of any of it’s parts....nice balance... A well done stout.

Enjoyed on tap at the mega Whole Foods in Chicago, IL. Appearance is a rich dark brown with a small off white head that rims around the glass. Aroma is rich in dark chocolate with pepper spice, smell is decadent. Taste goes down with a light burn, definitely has a rich chocolate profile that is more bitter than sweet. It does taste moderately potent, it’s pretty good.
