Festive IPA. 2019 recipe is at 6%.
2020 version known as Hoppy Xmas. Later version (2024) as Hoppy Christmas. Buckle up for this seasonal Simcoe sled ride. A fruity festive fellow that delivers an all out Blitzen of Citrus flavour by the sack load. Citrus and tropical fruits on the Red nose. Tangy citrus, papaya and pineapple Dancer across the palate. All resting on a firm malty under carriage. A happy but bitter end waits.
Hoppy Christmas - don't keep the receipt.

Gran IPA. Superbebible.

0.33 l can from 'rebelbeercans' as 'Brewdog Hoppy Xmas', best before September 2022. A bit hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity-resiny, slightly floral aroma of orange, peach and a touch of grapefruit. Moderately sweet, gently bitter, quite fruity, moderately resiny taste of grapefruit, orange and some peach, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly resiny finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Average IPA, not sure what's supposed to be festive about it.

Tap at Malt Worm. Med-thin body, medium cqrbonation. Lacking any kind of character, there is only moderate bitterness, light oxidation, and light bready caramelly maltiness. Very restrained hops, only light citrusy presence. Feels like making love in a canoe, at least as far as hoppy beers go. Flawed too.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from BD Dalston. Pours clear gold with a foamy, mostly white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with sturdy pale malt backbone, moderate pine, subtly ripened citrus fruits. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly resinous finish, robust piney-grassy bitterness, further citrus accents. Really solid, classically styled IPA.
