Festive IPA. 2019 recipe is at 6%.
2020 version known as Hoppy Xmas. Later version (2024) as Hoppy Christmas. Buckle up for this seasonal Simcoe sled ride. A fruity festive fellow that delivers an all out Blitzen of Citrus flavour by the sack load. Citrus and tropical fruits on the Red nose. Tangy citrus, papaya and pineapple Dancer across the palate. All resting on a firm malty under carriage. A happy but bitter end waits.
Hoppy Christmas - don't keep the receipt.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from BD Dalston. Pours clear gold with a foamy, mostly white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with sturdy pale malt backbone, moderate pine, subtly ripened citrus fruits. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly resinous finish, robust piney-grassy bitterness, further citrus accents. Really solid, classically styled IPA.

OK, another fricken IPA; how many are there? A quadrillion trillion? Just asking. Hey look, this says its retired but I just bought a can! Must be aged? Hey; aged hops I hear taste like bullshit, but what do I know? I even think fresh hops tastes like BS. Oh wait, now I see they make 2 of these at BD with the same name, what ever. This 6% stuff pours pretty much clear pale like any other regular beer or plain old macro IPA. Smell is that of the BO of your sex mate with some perfumy hop aftershave applied. What this has to do with chistmas is beyond me, except that you may be a little more happy after you drink a couple of cans. Yea, this is just another typical bitter ass IPA, so why label it christmas? Is it because it was released around christmas? Typical marketing gimmick. But I'm glad it doesn't taste like the rest of the overly spiced holiday brews out there, thank you. So there you have it, another typical bitter ass mouth coating IPA with the odor of mild BO.

Hoppy Christmas đđ
Mooi op tijd dacht ik zo, maar snel opdrinken voordat het al helemaal niet meer te zuipen is.

Dark golden, medium head and resistance. Strong bitterness. Aroma herbal and orange. Lasting lower bitterness finish. Weird. Low to medium body and carbonation. Not impressed.

Many thanks for this beer to Erzengel. Pours a light amber color. Aroma is quite citrus, but with bread malt. Taste is initially malty, but distinctly bitter
