Festive IPA. 2019 recipe is at 6%.

2020 version known as Hoppy Xmas. Later version (2024) as Hoppy Christmas. Buckle up for this seasonal Simcoe sled ride. A fruity festive fellow that delivers an all out Blitzen of Citrus flavour by the sack load. Citrus and tropical fruits on the Red nose. Tangy citrus, papaya and pineapple Dancer across the palate. All resting on a firm malty under carriage. A happy but bitter end waits.

Hoppy Christmas - don't keep the receipt.

31 December 2020. Super Secret New Year's Eve Tasting. Cheers, Anke, Silke & Nima! Bottle from Geers, as 'Hoppy Xmas'. Hazy golden, small, frothy, white head. Aroma of mandarin peel, yellow grapefruit, lime, pine, biscuit, melon. Taste has sweetish mandarin, melon, quite bitter grapefruit juice, a bit spicy, constant bready-biscuity body. Somewhat zesty. Piney hoppy finish, biscuit & citrus peel lingering. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Decently drinkable.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a slightly hazy, deep golden with a lacing, white head. Subtle and fairly dull, hop aroma - slightly citrusy. Medium body, very soft on the palate, spicy, dry fruitiness with subtle aroma hops. Subdued bitterness. The hops are a bit downplayed, but it's actually a pleasant and extremely smooth IPA. 120121

Can sourced from Brewdog Berlin Webshop and shared at home (25/12/2020) - just a light hazed golden pour with a white head. Sweet tropical citrus fruity medley with some papaya, mango, touch of nectarine, hop spice, sweet malty backbone, piney resinous bitter hoppy close. Decent.

Clear amber beer, Hoppy aroma with some zesty tropical fruit. Light, grassy hop in the aroma with citrus and grapefruit. Quite mild for the strength though the alcohol does start to come through a little. Not exciting but fine.

330ml can, 6 % abv, bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Airy, bubbly, white head leaving upper part lacing on the glass. Misty golden-brown body. Malty-fruity aromas, quite appealing with mango and toffee. Developing fruity taste of mango and citrus offset by malty sweetness. Has got a vibe of resinous bitterness to the ending. Medium plus bodied. Likable. (TromsΓΈ 21.12.2020).
