Born Yesterday feat. fresh hops rushed from farm-to-brewery in under 24 hrs!

If we could bottle the smell of harvest time in Yakima Valley, WA, we would. Hell, we try every year! Today we get the next best thing: Born Yesterday. See, once hops are harvested, the flavor clock starts ticking’. So we rush a select bunch of whole-cone ‘wet’ hops on refrigerated trucks straight to Lagunitas. In less than 24hrs they arrive and immediately drop into this brew via a stoopid custom-built contraption, injecting all their precious aromatics. Special delivery indeed. Congratulations, it’s a beer!

Tap @ Håndtverkeren. Unclear golden body with a medium sized, dense white head. Refreshing aroma of citric fruit, grapefruit, hint of pineapple and pale malt. Flavor is sweet pale malt, sweet citric fruit, refreshing grapefruit, citric zest and medium bitterness. Medium body and OK aftertaste. Nothing extraordinary but a fine, fresh thirst quencher I could drink anytime.

Aromas are apricots, citrus and gunpowder. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose, add in a lot of MJ with very good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Very nice drinking beer.

(Bottle) Cloudy pale amber colour with big, lasting, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with mango, pineapple, papaya, guava, orange and rye bread. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, passion-fruit, orange peel, pine needles, rye bread and a balanced citric/piney bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Really tasty, with a generous hop profile. Very nice.

Stubby bottle. Made a foaming mess on my counter. Looks like hefe. Smells like dull nose IPA. Taste is big fat rude ass rototillerring hop smop big time massive blast. So bold and over the top, almost think there is some heat in there. Very good carbonation thru and thru, cutting. After each big gulp is sizzling co2 followed by big fat hop reality. Whew, what else can be said except its bastardly on style for an IPA. Carbonation saves this one in the end.
