Porto taproom. Slightly hazy golden, medium white foamy head, lasting. Sweet nose with soury vinous cellar feeling. Sweet dry fruits, mild honey sweetness, a bit of warming alcohol. Medium light, a bit soury. Nicely drinkable.

Keg at the brewpub. A light hazed deep orange coloured pour with a fine off white head. Aroma is spicy citrus, orange, Belgian yeast, burnt toffee, cigar, bit weird. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, little buttery, toffee, toffee apple, spicy Belgian yeast. Palate is semi sweet, flabby, oily, moderate carbonation. Ok.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 26C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch BT001 (BBF 18/01/2018). AROMA: m?dium candied pear and oranges aroma, with a low solvente-like note. slight peppery presence. APPEARANCE: light amber and clear. medium ivory head with low retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with less intensity (candied pears), slight solvente and a caramelized over-sweet malt presence. medium-low to low bitterness with a sweet finish. unbalanced. PALATE: medium to medium-high body. medium carbonation. OVERALL: a tripel with some fermentation problems that seems under atenuated.
