Taster at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt with some coffee notes. Simlar taste with fruity and some chocolate notes. Roasted malt aftertaste. Pleasant.

On tap @ Holy Craft, Düsseldorf. Deep intense chocolate. Smooth malty. Lots of dry chocolate with hints of saltiness. Great depth, fruity hints, very nice!

Weich malziger Antrunk mit mild salzigen Noten. Geringfügig röstig, etwas herb, ab dem Mittelteil schokoladiger, weich herb. Süffig, mittellanger Nachhall. 10/10/10/10//10

Dark brown, nice tan head. Good light chocolate nose. Palate is too salty which nearly kills the chocolate. Light bitter finish

Bottle from the brewery in Burnaby
Dark brown color. Carboardy beer, a bit ashy, no chocolate, salt is not a component. Boring, why bother?

Dark brown. Has a light chocolate nose, maybe a bit nutty. Touch of sweetness up front but then it hollows out. The thing is, without malt sugars this has nothing. You don’t get much saltiness, the chocolate lacks complexity and without the sugars it’s not impressive. Just a really simple beer that does not compel.

650mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light salt, toasted malt and dry cocoa. Flavour is lightly salty, with toasted malt and a touch of cocoa. Light-bodied and pretty weak, with not a very thrilling complexity. It's okay.
