With a deep rich color, plentiful foam this imitates the color qualities of cappuccino. With a decisive aroma of caramel & with hints of the divine smell of roasting, smoked fruits, scents of cocoa, orange groves & chestnut honey.
From the very first sip you will taste the velvety smoothness of the toasted malt & other aromas that all combine to give an complex aftertaste with the combination of the bitter & aromatic hops.

Bottiglia.

Drank in random pizza shop in Positano. Not even close to old by bottling date. But just lame and stale, not clean. Muddled etc.

Thank you for sharing tderoeck & Rubin77. Sampled bottled @ LIBF 2017. Bright red amber. Nose is oxidized, overly poor BE esters, dull leaves. This oxidized, caramel, fruit is lost, thin leaves, odd oxidation,… Thin. Weak.

Italian amber ale with orange, sample from a 75 cl bottle at LIBF. Thick, yellowish cream white, moussy, frothy, papery lacing, stable head, more or less clear copper-tinged amber robe. Aroma of bitter orange peel and a hint of marmalade, peanuts, butterscotch, damp straw, red apples, white pepper, water melon, sweet white grapes. Sweetish onset, apple, pineapple and noticeable orange zest spritziness, medium carb, smooth and oily mouthfeel, sourish edges; nutty, caramelly malt middle, rounded with a mild toasty bitterishness accentuated by an orange peel aspect. Finishes clean, dryish and softly bittering. Well done for what it intends to be, too bad I didn’t taste the blonde lemon version too.

Clear bright amber beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, lots of overripe banana, malty. MF: soft to no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: malty, grassy bitterness, bit metallic, some caramel. Aftertaste: banana touch, very malty, metallic again, grains, hay. Not my cup of beer...

Bottle in Sorrento, April 2015. Unlikely to have again so doing a mini-rating. The orange certainly came through. Enjoyable citrus beer.
