Imperial Brown Ale Aged in Bourbon Barrels with Toasted Coconut Added
This is our bourbon barrel-aged imperial brown ale, Mash, stretching to new levels. Mash & Coconut features nearly 400lbs. of toasted coconut per batch, which ratchets up the complex, native coconut character and complements the oaky and vanilla notes that are imparted to the beer as part of its extensive maturation in bourbon barrels.

750mL bottle shared by Chris on 10/13/18. Dark chestnut with some auburn. Beige head to ring. Smells neither boozy nor sugary. Wow. Is this Bruery? Unfortunately it also tastes like nothing more than light coconut, honey and oak. Very flat flavors.

750 ml bottle. Clear brown / amber color, aroma is mild coconut, very subtle barrel. Flavor has a classic dark fruit, fig, toffee base with just the lightest hint of coconut. ABV is pretty hidden. Not overly sweet at all.

Draught @ Zeezich, Breda. Clear deep amber color. Dense light beige head. Aroma's: Sweetish, boozy, coconut. Retronasal: sweetish, fruit, barrel, oak/tannines, alcohol, cocos. Cocos becomes more and more apparent after warming op, which is nice. Flavor is above moderate sweet, alcoholic. Full bodied. Long finish with cocos, sweetness, fruity alcohol.

Bottle. Shared with Christian. Pours amber copper with a small white head. Creamy and full bodied, sweet indeed with good notes of bourbon and overripe fruit. Coconut dominates. Sippable..
