Can. Never had a German pale ale before but this one is pretty good. Clear gold color with a large head. Aroma and taste are actually well balanced and very tasty.

Pours to a very light and slightly hazy straw. Minimal nose: lemon, pine. Better in the mouth: an up front hit of hops and then the fruit. Lemon and grapefruit. Otherwise a bit thin but good as a session beer although a slight bit too strong for that.

Bottle. Hopy aroma, resin, floral notes and ripe fruit. Tastes the same as aroma, light to medium bitter, light sweet notes. Light to medium body, hopy bitter finish with floral and resin notes. Ok.

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy copper pour, one finger frothy off-white head. Low retention, minimal lacing. Nose is caramel, herbs and hops, fruity and grassy. Thin body, medium but prickly carbonation. Light texture, fizzy. Bittersweet taste, slight acidic. Aroma a bit more on the malt side, mostly caramel. Paired with some grassy hops, a bit of fruitiness and strong herbal character. Slightly peppery. Some honey notes. Acidic bitter finish. Overall, quite generic. Nothing to write home about.

Clear amber colour, white head. Light malty aroma, hops, light soapy notes. Malty flavour, light bitter, lightly fruity. Fruity, bitter finish, some oxidized notes. Decent, but feels a bit old, even though the best before date is only 10.09.18. Warrants a re-rate if I see it more fresh somewhere.

Pours dark gold from the bottle. A frothy white head slowly subsides. Sticky lacing clings to the glass. Aroma is caramel, overripe pear, honey. Taste is mildly bitter, dusty. Finishes the same, stays dry. Body is medium. Carbonation is mild. Uncomplicated. Not bad.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of dark fruit, flowers, toasted malt and honey. Clear pale amber color with thin creamy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet toasted malt and caramel, following is grassy and honeyish, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Far from being a pearl...
