Can, drunk watching the first couple of episodes of NZ drama Top of the Lake. Pours black, large pale tan head. Woody roast on the nose. Taste is surprisingly light with subdued woody roast, soft underlying rye, some chocolate notes, a very low bitterness, finishing dry.

On tap at the Lumsden. Pours black as night and drinks unbelievably smooth. Aroma is bitter spice and coffee and the flavour is much the same. Espresso, cinnamon, little cream. Like chai coffee or something, really fantastic.
