Bottle picked up in Liverpool. It pours cystal clear purple - brown with a small, foamy white head. The aroma is earthy, musty, woody, blackcurrant, ribena, blackcurrant tubes, booked sweets and tang. The taste is crisp, dry, puckering, sour blackcurrant, sherbert, sour candy, blackcurrant tubes, oily and some acidity with a drying finish. Lighter end of medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A touch harsh maybe? It certainly is more puckering than the aroma suggests. Fun stuff anyhow.

Keg at Beerhawk Southbank, 17/07/19. Golden amber with a reddish glint and topped with a faded crimson cap. Nose is dusty berries, hay bale, grains, blackberry tang. Taste comprises berry pips, straw, light balsa wood, lemon drizzle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with the slightest of puckering kisses at the curtain call. Low end sour... inoffensive stuff just boring and safe.

12/2/2019. Bottle from Crosby Beer Shop, Merseyside. Pours clear golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of sour berries, potato, herbs, root vegetable and a hint of green rhubarb. Light sweetness and bitterness with heavy sour. Moderate body, oily texture, average carbonation. The initial hit of sour subsides leaving a sweeter finish. Ok but not a massive fan.

Bottle from Crosby Beer Shop, Crosby. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are sour berries, malt, yoghurt, hops and has a nice sour finish.

Bottle from Crossby Beer Shop, Crossby. Clear amber red with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light tart and red berries. Flavor is medium sweet and light acidic. Dry and light acidic finish. 110219

Bottle from Homebrew Bottle Shop, Oxton in Birkenhead. Appearance - deep amber with shades of red. Nice lacing. Nose - some blackcurrant bit more like plum or rhubarb jam. Taste - more jam, nuts and beetroot coming through this time. Blackcurrant and plums too. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy lean but concentrated middle and end. Overall - enjoyable.

Keg @ Beer Heroes, Chester. Pours hazed reddish amber. Hedgerow berries on the nose. Noticeably crisp and tart with some pleasant fruity notes, nice floral interludes with underlying beetroot. Comes together rather well. Very enjoyable.
