Our spring saison. 2017 was brewed with nettles and brett, 2018 was brewed heavier on the spelt and highly hopped with Amarillo. 2019 brewed with spelt and bay leaves. 2020 brewed with a heavy dose of spelt malt and generously hopped with UK Cascade from Brook House Hops.

Keg at MK BG, 25/07/18. Lightly hazed golden orange with a big old off white cap. Nose is lemon rind, yeast esters, straw, grains, light spice, stale bread. Taste comprises tangy citric peel, Belgian yeast esters, bitter sweet notes, tangy orange, lemon rind, hint of barnyard. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a tangy citric laden climax. Decent saison.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Clapton Craft. Pours lightly hazy amber-gold with a big, frothy off-white head - looks like you could sit a coin on it. Lots of cracked wheat in the nose, grass, straw, orange peel. Light to medium sweet flavour with nicely rounded wheat character, further grassy bitterness, background citrus peel notes, subtle yeast. Medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Finishes with a little warmth, more wheat, pale grains, grass, orange rind, sourdough. Overall, quite solid. Nice traditionally styled saison.

375ml bottle watching England vs Belgium. Pours a glowing orange, largr white head. Floral saison yeast on the nose. Taste presents crisp peppery pale malt, distant saison sweetness. Nice honey-like moments, not overly sweet. Good saison for a baking hot evening.
