Beer is constantly evolving; every brew is informed by the rich tapestry of beer that has come before it. Here is the Mad Squirrel take on one of our indiginous heritage styles. The classic red ale, brewed with floor malted barley, a modern British yeast strain and fruity hops. This is the next step forward for the style. This is Evolve, a contemporary red ale.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - cloudy amber to brown. Cream to tan head. Nose - silage, yogurt and floral. Taste - tinned fruit. Creamy again. Palate - light bodied, dry finish. Overall - strange nose.

Can from the brewery online shop. Pours hazy red amber with a thin white head. Aromas of grass, light red fruit. Taste is fruitier, light sweet finish.

440ml can - Pours a hazy light reddish brown colour with an average sized mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts and red berry fruit. A moderately sweet taste, caramel malts, some red berry fruit with an earthy and light bitter finish.

ABV: 4.5%. Clear medium to light red amber colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, light caramel, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, pale malt, caramel, light hops - yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20201003]

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Can @ Højbjerg tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are lots of malt, hops and caramel. Nice hoppy finish.

Can from Hoptimism. Hazy reddish brown colour with an off white head. Aroma and taste are caramel malty and sweet. Slight fruity citrus. Thin body.
