The West Coast IPA; An evergreen beer style. Bold and resinous, with a sharp grapefruit bite and a bitter piney finish. It is the taste of tall trees, clear blue skies, reckless adventure and unabashed ambition. It might sound sappy, but it's true.

Tap@Mad Squirrel, High Wycombe (18/10/19) - amber orange with a white head. Medium sweet fruity and malty with notes of citrus fruit, sweet caramel malty backing, medium body, hoppy bitter finish.

Cask at the St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2019, St Albans, Herts. A murky golden/orange coloured pour with a medium off white bubbly head on top. Hoppy, orange, grapefruit, pine aroma. Tastes hoppy, orange, grapefruit, pine, bitter/sweet. Decent enough IPA.

Keg at MS HW, 26/09/19. Hazed orange golden with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange pith, apricot, light breads, melon, toasted malts. Taste comprises bitter orange, lightly pine coating, ripe melon, grassy bite, mango, bubblegum. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with assertive but balanced hop bitterness. Decent slightly old skool leaning but bitter IPA.

Cask at the St Albans Beer festival 2019. A translucent golden orange coloured pour with a loose off white head. Aroma is bug jammy orange, marmalade, pine, apricot jam sticky hop. Flavour is composed of semi sweet sticky hop resin, orange rind, jammy citrus fruits, some pine needle,. Assertive hop bitterness. Palate is semi sweet, sticky hop, good cask condition. Very good.
