Packed with complex, provocative Zappa hops along with Sabro and Medusa for a total hop load of nearly six pounds per barrel. All three varietals belong to the Neomexicanus family, a hop subspecies native to New Mexico and Colorado. These distinctly American hops, characterized by low alpha acids and high oil content, make for a dank, citrusy, expressive DIPA experience.

16 oz. Draft. Mild peach, hints of the tropics. Soft malt backbone. Very slight herbal bitterness. Seems really tame and average. I guess it is time for a break from beer. Everything is just average to me these days.

31st August 2019 Can. Absolutely jazzed to find a Zappa hopped dipa. Thought it would be years before they would be in beers over this side of the pond. 100% wild New Mexico mountain hops. Hazy orange beer, good cream colour head. Nose is candy tropical fruits and the purple Skittles some people describe, is evident. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light malts, a slightly thin creamy sweetness. Zappa hops taste like ... nothing I've ever tasted before. There is an underlying bitterness and also a soft pine. Overlaying this a floral grape thing and that candy purple Skittles. Brighter tropical fruits come through towards the end along with smooth citrus. Sloe itchy hop spice build. Bitterness more emphatic on the swallow and the aftertaste. A bit of a stunner. As the beer warms a little, the grape Skittle vibe gets stronger. The nose of the empty can is madly Purple Skittles. Crazy and very very tasty!
