[February 2023] Near black with a frothy light tan head and roasted malt with a touch of coffee and chocolate on the nose. Smooth and just a little bit creamy, roasted malt is more subdued with more chocolate coming through before a dry, very slightly bitter finish

Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Post Office Vaults. Rings of lace down the glass, deep black body, almost naked surface. Aromas of dark bread and chocolate, roasted, promising. Good malty taste of chocolate and liquorice, lightly spiced. Smoothly roasted malty end. Pretty good. (Birmingham, 14.02.2023).

Delt med Rune. Svart. Luftig filmskum med litt farge. God sjokoladearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken salt lakris. Tørr avslutning. Bitter. Røstet malt.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a large frothy beige head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma, what there is is mainly milk chocolate. In the mouth it is sweet and very watery. There’s some hints of roasted malts which gradually become more pronounced. As does chocolate and hints of liquorice and dark fruits. Finish is dry and slightly fruity. Nothing actually wrong with this beer, but it’s extremely bland and very disappointing.
