Smoked imperial stout aged on maple syrup - Hugely complex smoked stout brewed with 10 different malts and hopped with Challenger and Bramling Cross. Fermented with a custom made blend of rustic and ester heavy strains of yeast. Aged on a lot of this season's organic maple syrup sourced direct from Nova Scotia.

Can from Appellation Wines. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aromas of smoke, tar, maple syrup, liquorice. Taste is more smoke, rich roast malts, sweet maple. Long, rich finish.

Creamy tan head left s decent cover on near black still body. Wood, smoked & malt aroma. Full bodied, soft & silky on the palate with a prickly back. Sweet chicory, nutmeg, sweet savoury, syrup, jam, berry & sugar tastes. Very nice - Bit too sweet

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - smoke and syrup. Black jack and liquorice. Taste - barrabrith and smoke. General burnt fruit cake. Palate - medium plus in body. Smoky dry middle and finish. Overall - lovely complex beer.

Can shared at Leightons place, many thanks to Scopey. A opaque black coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is smoked brown sugars, meat, maple ham, sticky brown sugars. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, brown sugars, maple, brown sugars, hint of smoke,. Palate is medium sweet, sticky, moderate carbonation, oily.. Nice.

Can shared in London - cheers to Scoopy. Pours deep brown with a creamy tan head. Nice cocoa and smoke snout. Medium to big sweet flavour, nice rounded chocolate, dark berries, rich smoke. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, a little sticky, more chocolate, smoke, licirice, burnt maple. Solid.

Can shared at LKS. It pours opaque black with a small blight tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, smoked action, ashtray, tobacco, oily, treacle and dark chocolate. The taste is slick, sticky, oily, smoked action, maple syrup, roasted malt, fruit cake, raisin, sultana, umami and some boozy warmth through finish. Full body and fine carbonation.
