Bottle. Very dark brown with a tan head that lightens and fades to a scant coat. Aroma of marzipan. I guess there's cherries, chocolate, ripe figs and boozy vanilla essence there too but really, marzipan. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Really sweet with a lilt of bitterness towards the end that really relieves matters. Cherries, brioche dough, meadowy hops. The almond is still very prominent but much (!) less so. Finish has a nice tidy bitterness with vanilla-y oak. Finish makes it. Ridiculous - but I really enjoyed it. Such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Bottle, 330 ml. Shared with Max and Vanja. Pours brown with beige head. Shitload of nuts, caramel, some dried fruits,marzipan, almonds. Sweet. Medium bodied.

Tap (Szynkarnia, Wrocław). Ciemno-miedziane, wpadające w brunatne, z niewielkim, beżowym kożuszkiem piany. W aromacie dominują migdały a w zasadzie marcepan, dopiero dalej w tle nuty owocowe, suszonych owoców, słodowe charakterystyczne dla barley wine. W smaku również marcepan jest mocno wyczuwalny lecz nie tak dominujący jak w aromacie i nuty owocowe delikatnie wysuwają się na pierwsze miejsce, czuć zdecydowanie słodowe ciało piwa, lekko słodkawe, pewnie także za sprawą beczki, delikatny alkohol mocno przykryty słodyczą i ciałem choć przyjemnie rozgrzewający. Mimo że nie jestem fanem marcepana to piwo jest świetne.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of marzipan, chocolate, bourbon, wood and caramel. Pours dark brown color with thin quickly diminishing light brown head and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with sweet roasted malt and bourbon, following is nutty and honeyish, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic, while finish is mild to medium grassy bitter. Full body, thick texture and average carbonation in palate. Got these damned good claws stabbed in my head...

Keg at Beaverex '18 Day I, 07/09/18. Rich mahogany brown with a reddish glint and topped with a solid beige cap. Nose is big on almonds, cherry bakewell icing, fruit loaf, toffee, sugars. Taste comprises bitter sweet fruits, glazed cherries, more cherry bakewell but the almond not as prominent as on the nose, dried fruits, sugars, caramel, light barrel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light warming alcohol at the curtain call. Decent offering.

Dark amber colour. Huge aroma of almonds, amaretto, marzipan, light glue. Full bodied, with low carbonation, syrupy and oily; deep malt base, with strong caramel, marzipan and almond character, some bourbon vanilla, dark fruits, and warming alcohol.
Excessive but original, very good sipper.

Bourbon and woody marzipan. Deep brown with a small head. Bourbon barrels and nice almond and long finish. Solid and quite lovely.
