Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is rich in almond with marzipan, sugary brown barley, caramel, toffee, raisin, amaretto, liqueur, some alcohol. Flavour is quite sweet and lightly bitter with boozy hints. Body is medium to full with a sticky texture. Hardly subtle but I quite enjoyed this almond liqueur bomb.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in March 2018, cellared for one-and-a-half years. Clear, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of loads of marzipan, raisins, molasses, some bourbon and a touch of green apples. Very sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of massive marzipan, molasses, raisins, caramel, honey and some bourbon, followed by a long, moderately bitter, slightly boozy finish. Full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Super rich and heavy beer, borderline sweet but I dig it.

Bottle sourced from De Bierliefhebber and shared at home - pours dark brown with a beige head. Sweet malty with notes of caramel, some cherry, prominent almond nutty notes throughout, honey, marzipan, light hoppy undertones, medium body, bourbon tinged cherry and almond infused sweet malty finish. Like a liquified cherry bakewell! Lovely.

Klasse!

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Wingman. Pours clear copper with a small, creamy off-white head. Big fruit punch vibes in here, cherry, boozy notes, bread, caramel. Full bodied with fine carbonation, chewy, with oily texture. Warming finish, with more jammy, sugary fruit character. Interesting stuff.
