330mL bottle, pours a dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Aroma is unbelievably intense on the almond extract, barely allowing anything else to make it through. Flavour is certainly unique, with intense almond extract, followed by medium bourbon barrels, toffee, and bready notes. Such a lovely almond character. This is awesome.

Bottle. Thanks Thomas. Pours Dark Brown with a small collapsing head. Nose is deep malty. Nuts and almond. Bourbon and vanilla beneath. Caramelly. Sweet and perhaps a tad Too almondy to be really Delicious.

Bottle. Dark brown pour. Aroma of almond, bourbon booze, caramel, raisin, ripe fruit and dates. Taste of sweet almond, ripe fruit, raisin, caramel, bourbon booze, malt, port wine, dates and oak. Long rich finish. Great dessert beer.

Beaverfest. Keg. Hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate. Light malts, caramel and toffee. Big Cherry Bakewell and floral almond. Light finish. A tasty treat. Pastry Barleywine!

On tap. Black colour. Aroma is lots of marzipan, some bourbon and alcohol. Terribly sweet. Nice aroma but it's tiring.

7/11/18: Bottled 06-03-18. Huge alcohol smell coming off it, with a hint of almond extract. Taste is still fairly alcoholic, but so much more. Sweet base combines magically with the almondy flavors (synthetic sweet ones). Bourbon flows through both, some wood.
28/12/19: Still very lovely and smooth. Pretty sweet, with plenty of almond and bitterkoekjes. Little bit boozy. in a warming and mellow way. Nice amount of bourbon, some vanilla. A great example of non-lactose pastry.

Bottle. Color: Dark copper, thin beige head. Aroma: Almond, Amaretto, Bourbon and caramel hints. Taste: Dark malt and dark red fruit, caramel, sweetish honey and vanilla notes. Boozy hints. Pretty strong almond and marzipan notes from the added almond extract. The Bourbon is barely noticable. Over medium sweet, moderate bitter. Full body, low carbonation. Sirupy, oily mouthfeel. Sticky. Nice, but a bit out of balance and too much almond flavour.
