Refreshing. Balanced. Gold. Our Mighty Monk is a moreish and glowing blonde ale. We use a blend of citra and pioneer hops, and the result is a crisp and satisfying beer fit for any occasion. We speak frankly when using the word mighty: this beer is immensely delicious.

[3/4/21, rating 5/3/4/2/9] Bottle that M&D gave me which apparently they got from the brewery itself - cheers! Golden-amber with a white head and a light fizz. Biscuit with sourish lemon and a hint of wee. Not great, and disappointing as I've enjoyed other beers from this brewer. Sad then that I've got a second bottle of this - I can only hope that there was something wrong with this bottle and that the second one might be better... [10/4/21 5/3/5/2/10] OK, time to see if the second bottle (same source) is any better. Looks the same as I remember. Flavour of white bread, slightly sour lemon, a hint of white pepper and some cardboard. So... no urine, which is an improvement on the first bottle. I still don't like it much though. Rating added to the site is the average of the two bottles.

18/7/2019. Bottle shared at the South West tour bottle share. Bought at Inn At Home, Newbury. Pours clear golden with a bubbly white head. Aroma of sweet malt, bread and butter, light hops, flowers and citrus. Medium sweetness with moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation.

Cask @ The Abbey. Pours clear gold with a well-appointed off-white head. Aroma is breezy yeasty, light citrus. Taste is clean, light-bodied with a soft mouthfeel, smooth bready malt, distant citrus hints. It's a bit light but quite nicely rounded. Not bad.
