Our cherry stout has been aged in Brandy barrels for eight months then matured for a further month on morello cherries. Rich in flavour and complex in character, this silky smooth stout is the perfect Winter evening tipple.

Danke an minutemat. 10/10/10/11/10/10

20th Nov 2017. Shrewsbury Beer Share Group Meeting in Chez Sophie. Cheers Mat for the 330ml bottle: BB 3rd Nov 2022. Dark bodied with a decent tanned topping. I liked this, although I struggled to actually find much cherry influence and I couldn't detect the Brandy barrel aging at all. Smooth and rich it was, just not really flavoured as advertised by the brewery, the cherry and barrel aging not getting through the base Stout, which is a fine, strong Stout in my opinion anyway.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Nov 17. Pours black, medium tan head. Aroma has some nice soft chocolate malts, some fruity glimpses. Fairly big bodied, nice layered dark malts, chocolate.. again cherry glimpses rather than an overriding cherry presence. No discerning brandy barrel influence either. A good imperial stout, but with little of the added promised complexities.
