An intense, resinous IPA bursting with dank, leafy aromas. Tropical mango, citrusy grapefruit and lime notes follow on the palate. Gyle 266 packed 17.02.17.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the brewery. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose an inkling of dankness, some ripe lemon, papaya, pine needles. Medium sweet flavour with hefty minerality, some rindy bitterness, semi-ripe citrus fruits, peach. Full bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Finishes with subtle alcohol warmth, some further flinty minerality, citrus rind, dry pale bread, bitter grass. Nice DIPA, but a step down from the best in this series.

Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, mildly dry and has fine crispness. Thin smooth malts, mildly sweet. Fair bit of green hop here, on the nose and the tongue. Bitterish lemon and lemon peel. Dry hop spice. More green hop on the finish. A pretty raw hop DIPA. Nice enough!

Bottle at home, 05/03/17. Hazed golden oranhge with a decent off white head. Nose is orange pith, grapefruit, straw, toasted grains, mango, light pine. Taste is high on chalky minerality, earthy hops, citric doused straw, toasted grains, grapefruit, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Lacks balance ... way too high on the mineral stakes and a little raw places.
