33cl serving @ Olhallen Tromso, in the company of DJoeye. Pours black, very thin tan head. Aroma is big and boozy with vibrant, sweet bourbon, chocolate. Taste is juicy sweet rum & bourbon. Wow, quite a big hit with this. Smooth and delicious.

The usual black color. What else could it be. And a fine beige top that last. Lovely balanced aroma with a fine intensity. Medium to full body with a soft carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. A bit oily texture. Complex and yet pleasant flavor. The bourbon stuff it not overwhelming. That destroys the beer completely. Chocolate, vanilla, toffee, coffee, mild roast and mild pleasant bourbon in the flavor. Well masked alcohol. Highly recommendable.

On tap at Bergen Ølfestival. A dark brown beer with a dense, light tan head leaving some lacings. The aroma is roasted, with chocolate, coffee, some coconut and vanilla. A roasted kind of bitterness hits the palate along with some hoppy bitterness, it’s full-bodied, lightly warming and with flavors of coffee, chocolate and a touch of bourbon. Not really boozy in any way though. Lasting finish. A quite lovely one, I like that the bourbon is so subtle. 150906

On tap @ Grünerløkka Brygghus. Black body with a small, lacing beige head. Lovely, strong bourbon aroma with dark malt, oak, vanilla and some toffee. Flavor is quite strong bourbon as well, but in fine balance with dark malt, oak, coffee, some dark chocolate and pleasant bitterness. Fine balanced body and long lasting aftertaste with bourbon of cause! A nice, quite bold beer that actually needs to be drunk for real and not just sampled I think.
