Bottiglia.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - lemon and pith, some green herbal notes. Taste - definitely plant stalks as per previous reviewer. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - quite bitter for my taste but just inside the parameters for me, so decent.

Bottle at home, 26/01/16. Minor slow gush causing a smurfs had to rise from the bootle. Clear golden blonde with a well appointed egg shell white covering that retains well. Nose is grain, crackers, light bread, lemon drizzle, faint melon, dusting of hops. Taste comprises pithy citrics, orange peel, grassy hop bitterness, straw, toasted bread, lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close doused with grassy hop bitterness. Below average.

Bottle from my (still) Secret Santa! Nice fresh floral nose. The beer starts very neutral bitter with a nice fresh subtle layer of floral hops. But the neutral bitterness is way too much in the foreground. The body is nice mild with not too much grain or sweetness. Easy to drink with an intense bitter aftertaste.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the London Beer Lab. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, pure white head. And it’s effervescent. Pretty nice aroma, with lots of minerals, pithy lemon, dried pale malts. Light sweet flavor with somewhat oppressive minerality, hints of dry smoke and chlorine, crispy hay, lemon rind. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Dry on the finish with some grassy hops, more minerals, dry straw, biscuits, touches of melon and tangerine. Overall it’s pretty decent - just a few rough edges here and there.
