Our first brew of 2016 didn’t go quite according to plan, due to the yeast going dormant during a cold snap over the weekend requiring it to be warmed up again before it reluctantly agreed to finish it’s job. Anyhow, this is more of the thing we do (so I’ve heard...) very well; golden, dry, bitter and hoppy with a good smack of citrussy, pine needly hops and a complex, easy-drinking yet hoppy finish... sounds good to us! These three US hops are a classic combination, each giving their own unique character to the final hop blend resulting in a classic US hop blast...

Cask @ Craft Beer Co - Covent Garden, Holborn WC1. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity grassy hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty citrus hoppy grassy flavor. Has a fruity malty grassy citrus hoppy bitter finish.

Cask @ The Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury. Pours clear gold, small white head. Fruity tropical aroma. Taste is fresh smooth peachy smoothness, Finishes dry with a light bitterness. Decent.

Cask at Craven Arms; aroma has light citrus and sweet malts, taste has biscuit, grapefruit, a hint of zesty lemon, ok.

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. Pale amber with a ring of white head; lemon aroma; clean lemon citrus taste with a bready body; and a sweet grapefruit finish. Interesting and very drinkable.
