Cellar clean out session Pt Deux. Almost opaque black - brown beer, thin pale tan head. Palate is light, dry and mildly crisp. Very tangy dark malts, Coca Cola and Dr Pepper sour fruity tang. Mild savoury note before the tangy finish. Interesting!

Bottle at home, 16/07/16. Ordered from Beerhawk. Pungent, cough medicine, fruit and vinegar. Not quite black, a dark brown with a ruby tint. Weak head that dispatates very quickly. Sour, more like a lambic, but with the saltyness.and herbs coming through afterwards. Light body, no carbonation. A good sipping beer.

Stupendous! Liquid dark fruits, with great balance between sour and saltiness.

Black beer with a thin, filmy head. Smell is tangy, salty. Flavour is similar though after the initial hit of that it does get a bit of a roasted, malty follow-up. The aftertaste has a bit of the malt and an almost wine-y finish to it and because I don’t like that initial flavour on the tongue too much I find myself swallowing very quickly to get to the finish. I’m not sure if it’s this particular beer or the style but this isn’t for me.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours pitch black with the tiniest one-bubble head around the rim. Flat pepsi cola aroma. Taste is tangy, salty with teasing roast. Brett is really battling against those malts. Thorny gorse presence. Not sure I’m diggin this.
