Brewed with Spelt and Barley, giving a nutty finish to the beer. Very pale ale. Golden Light was named with Sharpham Park founder Roger Saul’s wife Monty in mind. The name evokes the magic hour at dusk which is perfect for beautiful photography, or maybe simply a beer or two.

500ml bottle from Appleyards Deli, Shrewsbury. Pours pale gold with a slight haze and big fluffy white head. Aroma is toasted cereal, spelt I imagine, and fresh autumn harvest. Taste is cereal, toast, grain, mild hay, easy bitterness, light berry notes. Decent.
