500ml bottle from the producer @ Shrewsbury Food Festival 2015. The bottom of the bottle is wax-coated for no obvious reason. Pours clear gold with a slight natural sparkle. Brown sugar / calvados aroma. Taste is fairly dry with a light tannin bite. A heavy initial dose of wood varnish with additional caramel, brown sugar and rotten apple mush. Gets drier and sharper as you progress. Asked the producer what cider apples they used but he shrugged and said "they just drop it off".
