Buffalo our American Pale Ale was launched on Friday 1st May 2015. Traditionally APA’s sit between 5-5.5% with signigicant quantities of BIG American Hops and it’s the American Hops that distinguish an APA from British of European Pale Ales. Buffalo is a full bodied Golden Pale Ale following the US style; it is big on hopiness, but not too bitter. Hops: Apollo, Bravo, Centennial and Cascade.

Keg @ Bricklayers Arms, Shrewsbury. Pours clear amber with minimal white head. Toffee and bright hops coming through with a light bitter bite. Harmless enough.

1st May 2015: Crown Inn, Oakengates, just missed the launch! Half-pint Keg. Light amber body with a white head. Piny and citrusy in the nose and taste. The hop dominating the brew completely. Not really my thing when in a UK pub but it was OK and reminded me of California (where I am currently sat writing this piece from notes) although it hasn’t got the amount of hops associated with most West Coast APA’s that I have tried, not as bitter either.
